In a recent TEDx talk, our CEO Rajesh shared an inspiring vision of the future of education, highlighting the crucial role technology plays in shaping our workforce. As the world rapidly evolves, the World Economic Forum predicts that by 2025, 50% of employees will need retraining to keep up with technological advancements.
This raises a critical question: Are our schools adequately preparing students for their future? A rather startling statistic from South Africa states that only 0.23% of students matriculate with a math mark over 60%. This emphasises the urgent need for change.
Drawing from his personal experiences as a high school math teacher, Rajesh highlighted the challenges students face and the limitations of traditional teaching methods. He emphasises the importance of engaging students with relevant, practical skills that foster critical thinking and problem-solving.
Recognising the power of technology, Rajesh discusses the introduction of robotics and coding into school curricula. These subjects are not just about creating future engineers and computer scientists; they cultivate creativity and entrepreneurship while building essential skills for the age of automation.
To support this education revolution, Resolute has developed programmes that empower teachers to integrate robotics and coding seamlessly into their classrooms. We understand the enthusiasm teachers have for these new fields, but we also recognise the need for support and training to navigate this changing landscape.
We invite you to watch Rajesh's captivating TEDx talk to gain further insight into the future of education. You can find the full video here. Discover how robotics and coding programmes have transformed classrooms, with over 150 schools and 50,000 students already benefiting from our initiatives.
As teachers, you have the power to shape the minds of the next generation. By embracing technology and providing students with practical, future-focused skills, we can equip them to thrive in the digital age. Let us join hands as we revolutionise education one code at a time.
