Recently Resolute had the privilege of spending the day with third-year B.Ed students at The University of Pretoria. It was an exciting opportunity to engage with these future educators and explore how coding and robotics can not only jumpstart their teaching careers but also revolutionise the classroom experience.
Our expert panel featured a dynamic lineup of educators and innovators, including Resolute co-founders Rajesh Pasungili and Gareth Thomson, alongside Dr. Kayla Willemse (PhD in Computer-Integrated Education) and experienced educators Melanie Kroukamp, Nadine Smith, Suzaan Joubert, Lauren Esau, and Francois Pienaar. Together, they led an insightful discussion on the growing importance of coding and robotics in education and how these skills are shaping the future of teaching and learning.
The energy in the room was electrifying! The students displayed a keen eagerness to learn, posed thought-provoking questions, and shared innovative ideas. Their enthusiasm reaffirmed the critical role that technology-driven education will play in equipping the next generation of learners with essential 21st-century skills.
A special thank you to Dr. Kayla Willemse—your students are a testament to your dedication and passion for education. Their curiosity, forward-thinking mindset, and drive to innovate make us incredibly optimistic about the future of teaching.
We are excited to continue fostering a culture of technological empowerment in education and look forward to seeing these future teachers make a lasting impact in classrooms across South Africa.
