But statistics raise a few concerns. A 2023 study by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) found that 70% of educators felt they needed to be more adequately prepared to integrate technology effectively into their classrooms. This is where TAO Education Lab (TAO) comes in.

Nadine Smith from Pinnacle College Rynfield achieved the prestigious School of the Year and Teacher Awards. Maryam Khaki from Orient Islamic School, Zander Calitz from Milkwood Primary in Mossel Bay, and Dawie De Vries from Laerskool Stellenbosch in Cape Town were each honoured with a Teacher Award.
