As we welcome 2024, we take a moment to reflect on the remarkable journey Resolute Education embarked on in 2023. Throughout the year, we successfully launched innovative products and services, actively participated in prestigious events and competitions, forged valuable collaborations with renowned partners and clients, and made a lasting impact on thousands of learners and educators across the continent and beyond.

Here are some of our 2023 Highlights

In January, we unveiled our new website, which features a fresh new look, a behind-the-scenes “Who We Are” video, and a user-friendly interface that makes it easier for you to access our products and services.

In February, we celebrated Valentine’s Day by spreading the love of coding and robotics to our community. We also hosted a special webinar on how-to-use coding and robotics to foster creativity and innovation in the classroom.

In March, we exhibited at Schoolscape Premier, the only education conference in SA dedicated to presenting the greatest showcase of school solutions. We also announced our cutting-edge collaboration with Oxford University Press SA, one of the world’s leading publishers of educational materials.

In April, we attended the British Educational Training and Technology Show (Bett) in London, one of the world's largest and most influential Ed-tech events. We also joined the inaugural Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship programme at Injini, a prestigious initiative that supports African Ed-tech startups. Our CEO Rajesh Pasungili, presented an inspiring TEDx talk, where he spoke about the importance of coding and robotics in today’s world.

In May, Resolute launched our brand new additions to our coding and robotics offering, which come packed with advanced features, improved functionality, and upgraded components that make building and programming your robotics kit more exciting than ever before.

In June, Resolute was selected as one of the top 20 finalists for Africa’s Business Heroes, a prestigious competition celebrating African entrepreneurs.

In July, we were shortlisted as one of the top 10 finalists in the KPMG Private Enterprise Tech Innovator in Southern Africa competition.

In August, we exhibited at Schoolscape Johannesburg and Schoolscape Cape Town, where we met and interacted with hundreds of educators and school leaders. We also received the “High Growth & Expansion Award” for our impactful work in bringing coding and robotics to SA schools. In addition, we conducted teacher training sessions at Regent Business Schools across KZN, Gauteng, and Cape Town, where we witnessed the heart and dedication of our incredible team in action.

In September, we attended the SAOU’s Principals Symposium in Port Elizabeth, where we shared our vision and mission with some of the most influential school leaders in the country. In September, we also hosted our inaugural Pinnacle Invitational Inter-school Competition, whereby learners from all Pinnacle Schools competed in a coding and robotics competition. 

In October, we hosted our annual Roboticon Competition 2023, an incredible event that blended tech, education, competition, and fun. Additionally, we participated in the South African EdTech Week, engaging with and learning from some of the best Ed-tech innovators in the country. Furthermore, we had an in-depth conversation with Mynhardt van Pletsen, who interviewed our CEO, Rajesh Pasungili, to discuss his journey and vision for Resolute Education. 

In November, we hosted several schools at an inspiring thought-leadership event in the UAE, where we shared our insights and best practices on using coding and robotics to enhance learning and teaching outcomes. Coupled with this, we hosted STEAM Innovation Days as part of our mission to empower students through project-based learning. We're thrilled to announce that Resolute Education has been awarded South African Ed-Tech Startup of the Year.

We are immensely proud of what we have accomplished in 2023, and we are grateful for the support and feedback of our community.
