The Apprentice Curriculum builds on the Novice foundation, guiding learners through progressively advanced concepts in robotics, programming, and digital literacy from Grades 4 to 6. Aligned with CAPS and designed to foster real-world problem-solving and critical thinking, this hands-on curriculum introduces block-based programming in Scratch and physical computing with Micro:bit and sensors.
Learners explore a wide range of topics—from flowcharts, algorithms, and event-driven programming to radio communication, 3D modelling, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Each level deepens understanding through creative design challenges, interactive projects, and real-life tech applications.
Every grade includes a learner workbook and educator guide, both complemented by digital resources on our learning platform. Together, they provide everything needed to empower learners to think logically, collaborate effectively, and build the confidence to tackle increasingly complex digital tasks—preparing them to thrive in a tech-driven world.
All our CAPS-aligned books in the Apprentice series are proudly published in collaboration with Oxford University Press, ensuring high-quality educational content that meets national standards while inspiring innovation in every classroom.
